Firstly let me explain I'm not a book shop, all of the titles shown
on this site marked "Codex" are from my private collection. I have been collecting for over 20 years and have been very picky
over the condition of the books that I have purchased. I am more than willing to answer any questions you have about
a particular title and supply digital photos if required all you have to do is ask. The Email address codexcollectables@hotmail.co.uk.
Prices and Discounts
The prices shown on this site coincide with the advertised prices
elsewhere (excluding postage). On each listing there is a discount star rating. Each Star represents
2.5% discount on the list price of the book hence (**) is 5% and (****) 10%. I am able to offer these dicounts as I
am not being hammered by 3rd party sellers fees.
Books will never be listed for sale without details and condition being given and (upon request photographs of the actual
book). All my hardbacks have a Mylar sleeve to protect the dust jacket.
Postage
All of my books when posted are wrapped in "Tuf-Pac" specialist
book boxes as pictured below. I send everything out first class and all items over £35 will need to be sent by
recorded delivery so that they are adequately insured. I don't believe in trying to make money out of the postage so the
postage & packaging costs are the actual amount it costs me, based on the weight of the book and the destination.
Packaging usually weighs around 300 grams (plus the weight of the book obviously). I will advise the weight of
any purchase you wish to make and you can check the costing yourself at Royal Mail.com if you require. I am willing to post internationally but again this will be based on the actual costs. See "How to make an Order".
Codex Membership
Entrance to this site is free but I have been rather a victim of my own success in that
my original collection is now looking decidedly thin due to the number of books I have sold. I have therefore decided
to allow invited third parties (Codex Members) to list collectable books on this site to try to restore the stock levels before
I sell out completely. Members will have a strict code to adhere to that will result in their status being terminated
if not followed, so you can be sure that the same quality of product and service will extend to you from all sellers
on Codex.
